The Chairman & Managing Director of Clariant Power System Limited in business association with Frako Germany, Mr. Tushar S. Deshmukh is an innovator, sought for his vision in the field of Reactive Power Management and Power Quality. Clariant Power System Ltd. started operations in 1998 with the goal of playing an active role in infrastructure development in India, along with power quality improvement.
Having completed his Engineering degree with Honours, he pursued the Masters’ degree in Business and Administration. Backed by in-depth technical knowledge and a strong business acumen, he built the business to what it is today, with a highly motivated team, who resonate and are equally passionate about his vision of overall business growth. Under his strong leadership, the Group has spiralled and expanded operations with 12 branches in India, to more than 20 countries overseas including Nigeria UAE, Ethiopia, Thailand, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Kenya, Iraq, and Bangladesh, with 30~35% of the revenues coming from abroad. His personal rapport with the indigenous and overseas markets, immense energy along with his excellent management skills, ability to generate resources and manage growth to acquire new businesses in India as well as overseas, has created a name for Clariant across the globe.
His in-depth knowledge and experience gathered over the years in Reactive Power Management System as well as international sourcing and marketing, makes him highly respected and valued for his commitment, dedication and ability to quickly and decisively offer solutions to new challenges. He has been instrumental in evolving growth strategies and significantly contributing to the implementation of the company’s expansion and diversification projects.

Capacitors and Power Quality Division (CAPQ) of Indian Electrical and Electronics Manufacturers Association (IEEMA)
CAPQ is engaged in working towards betterment of Power Quality practices and standards in the country. The Division takes various initiatives aimed at spreading awareness on the issue among various stake holders viz. Manufacturers, Bulk Electricity Consumers, Utilities etc.
It interacts with various National and State Level Statutory Bodies, BIS, Testing Labs, DISCOMS, CEA, Ministry of Power, Electricity Regulatory Commissions etc. to provide inputs in formulating Statutory Regulations like Tariff Structures, BIS Standards, Gazette Notifications etc. It also strives to ensure that good practices followed by some states are also adopted by other states.
